Nobody can be a Christian (follower of Jesus) without being a human rights activist. JESUS CHRIST is the world's greatest human rights advocate. He is against capital punishment (Psalm 102:19-20), prisoner torture (Heb. 13:3), environmental destruction (Rev. 11:17), victimizing people (Matt. 25:40), avoidable wars (Rom. 12:18 ), all forms of discrimination (Gal. 3:28 ), and apathy about human suffering, which is inexcusable (Prov. 31:8).

Christians are called to be bold, courageous, and persistent in advocating for human rights for every man, woman, boy, and girl.

Thank you for this. Yes, in many ways, Jesus was ahead of his time. He spoke with outcasts, individuals of nations who were Israel's enemies, women, members of the lower caste. etc. I will say that Psalm 102 refers to freeing the innocent that have been imprisoned, not guilty. In fact, throughout much of Scripture, punishment for sin was swift and severe.
